A Journey of Clarity, Connection, and Liberation

Join 10-20 Black men for a 5-day immersive experience in Rio de Janeiro designed to restore balance, deepen connection, and celebrate joy. Grounded in four core themes: awareness, growth, creativity, and movement, this retreat blends culture, history, and wellness through meaningful shared experiences.

Together, we will explore what it means to heal, grow, and thrive as Black men in community.

What to Expect

Each day includes guided meditation, reflection, and intentional discussions led in circle, paired with cultural and wellness activities that connect us to the land and the wider diaspora.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Arrive in Rio de Janeiro, private transportation will take you to Novotel Rio de Janeiro Leme, the headquarters of The Retreat. Get settled in your room before our Opening Session. Following our interactive connection activities we will end our night by enjoying a traditional Brazilian steakhouse dinner together (included).

Day 2: Discover Rio

Visit Christ the Redeemer, the Selaron Steps, and experience the rhythm of Carnival.

Day 3: African Heritage Experience

Explore Rio’s African roots through guided tours, food, and reflection on the Black experience across the Diaspora.

Day 4: Explore Nature & Nightlife

Hike to scenic viewpoints, rest in nature, then move through samba and Rio’s vibrant night culture.

Day 5: Boat Tour & Closing Circle

End the week with gratitude, reflection, and a private boat experience before departure.
